Oops- It's Wednesday

I actually forgot that it's Wednesday even though regular Wednesday things did happen today.  No Whatever Wednesday today.  I'm actually way behind now on work so I can't spare that many minutes.  I'm trying to get as much editing done before the weekend.  But, I do have time to show you this picture.  This session is actually third on my list but I always have to come home and look at them.  I couldn't wait to see these especially.  Meet baby Gage.  He is the beautiful boy of the beautiful momma that I photographed a month ago.  

Does anyone remember what it was like to be a first time mom?  The feeling of elation and thrill and anxiety all at the same time?  It's amazing.

This is Boden now at 9 months.  He is 9 months and WALKING.  Not just standing.  He has two older brothers to keep up with so he will NOT be left behind.

Whatever Wednesday

Randomness again.  Dare I say I'd make it weekly?  Naa, you'll just have to come back and see.

• Is it just my imagination or are girls' shorts really short these days?
• Just in case you haven't gotten the email for this blog yet, check it out.  It's sooo funny.  Thanks, Stephanie.
• The Hubs and I celebrated our 12th anniversary this weekend.  He had to work so we have a babysitter for this coming Saturday.  He (meaning I found it and sent him the link) got me something from this great site called Brilliant Earth.  I do still have a problem with knowing whether a diamond is conflict free or not but I feel more confident in this company.  And they use recycled gold as well.  Cool.
• Do you ever go to etsy and just do a random search?  Come on, I'm not the only one with ALL this free time.  This is what I found one day.  I want to come up with a reason to give it to someone.  
• I think I just might move to be closer to a cupcake.
• I was thinking about Craig's List for some stuff.  Anybody use Craig's List and have comments about it?
• The remakes of "Footloose" and "Fame" are coming out soon.  The original "Footloose" is a classic.  I don't know that I could see a new version.  But I never saw the original "Fame" so I might be up for that.
• Does anyone else get bummed out when someone doesn't like your work for some reason?  I know my style can't be everyone else's style and I know I can't please everyone all the time.  But, I thought I did a great job.  That's probably what makes it harder to swallow.  A little vague, I know.  But you get the gist.  
• Only 6 more school days for us.  I can't wait.  No lunches to make, sleep in a little.  I know I'll change my mind after a month of break.
• My house got cleaned and is now a mess again.  You still can't come over.

Boerne Champion HS Senior- Camilla Part II

A couple of months ago I photographed the lovely Camilla and her family. She and her mom asked me to do a few more of Camilla and her horse at her house. My 8 year old would be in heaven if 1.) she had her own horse and 2.) it lived in her own backyard.

Not like any rodeo gal you've ever seen, huh?  I loved the experience.  Camilla was easy, we had to wait on Sissy (the horse) a little.  But they both photograph beautifully.

I haven't wanted to put it out there in the universe but my headaches have subsided.  A little bit of this and that and I've been feeling so good.  Knock on wood for me, everyone.  I do have a routine MRI scheduled just to make sure nothing is growing where it shouldn't be.  Do MRIs make everyone else sleepy?

Boerne Champion HS Senior- Camilla

You know when you just have a session or great set of photos that just brings you back to life?  Like maybe you'd been a rut for awhile but then all of a sudden a subject just fills your soul with light.  That was this session.  Truly.  When her mom called me months ago to book the session, I knew then that I would love working with this family because she complimented me so much on a session that I did for a friend of hers.  Just KIDDING!  She seemed so open to just letting me do what I do.  I loved that.

This is the Camilla and family.  Camilla is a senior at Boerne-Champion HS.  Isn't she stunning?!  All of the sisters are, you'll see.

Camilla played on the varsity basketball team for three years.  Beauty and brawn. 

Camilla will be going to Texas A&M University to study Civil Engineering this Fall.  Beauty, brawn, and brains.  Triple threat.

AND she's a rodeo girl.  Who wouldn't love that.

And the lovely Isabella, 12 years old.  I told you- beautiful.  I always thought that if I had three kids I would have loved three of the same.  Sweet.

The lucky ducks spent Spring break in Hawaii.  They came back with nice tans and fun fun stories.  Coincidentally, I stopped before the session to pick up these bottles.  Sunkist.  Get it?  Anyone.
