Team Up Thursday

This week for Team Up Thursday, Megan and I followed the lead of other Team Up partners and tried our hand at "out of focus" for our theme.  It certainly adds a more artistic touch to the image.  It made my photo more soft but it made Megan's more dramatic.

I didn't have time to comment on any dips last week so I'll surely make my rounds this evening.  Happy Thursday!

Team Up Thursday

Hey, Team Up-ers.  This week, Megan and I chose "hot and cold" for our theme.  It was a little difficult because I really wanted to find something that was less obvious.  What have I learned?  Mostly, to try to think outside the camera box.  Sometimes it doesn't work, but it's still a creative venture.  Wait, there's more!  Go see.

Hey, Rockey, It's Your Birthday

It's our first child's birthday today.  Rockey is 11 years old.  She looks thrilled, doesn't she?  She's aging gracefully- only acquired a handful of new spots, some gray hairs around her nose, and is losing the hair on her tail.  But we love her and as you can see the girls shower her with affection.

Team Up Thursday

In honor of Mother's Day, Megan and I decided on "mom" for our Team Up Thursday theme this week. I am just so wowed by Megan's picture.  It's so amazing how much you can learn from just one image.  I don't have any photos like that but I hope that my girls will.  Which is why I take so many pictures.  Hopefully they'll look back at this photo of us and tell a story and feel the emotion all over again.

Monday is Dandy

The dandelion pics are everywhere and there have been some really awesome ones.  I took some pics of some dandelions about a week ago, then saw what others had done, and I was not happy with the ones I took.  So, I tried again and came up with these.  I found that when photo-ing something so ordinary you kinda have to find a twist- shoot with a macro, add light, change perspectives, or have patience and wait for something extraordinary to happen.  Dandy.

I had a great Mother's Day that included lots of food, lots of love, lots of whining (well, would be a day without that), lots of gratitude.  My girls are truly the best beings ever and I couldn't have asked for two more special people to call my kiddos.  I'll be sad when the day comes that I don't get a handmade gift from them.

Happy Monday!
