Cookies for Kids' Cancer

 

It's so easy for us to take for granted every day that our children are healthy and strong.  But so many children are not.  Too many children live each day while they struggle with cancer.  It would be a hard fight for an adult, no child should go through it.  If you live in the area and would love to visit the sweet town of Boerne, come out tomorrow for Boerne Market Days.  Not only can you do some holiday shopping but you can stop by the Cookies for Kid's Cancer booth.  Lots of talented bakers have donated their time to bake to raise awareness and to support kid's cancer research.  Last year's event was a great success and you can help make this year's event just as fantastic.  Plus, Boerne is starting to look a lot like Christmas!  They have already put up the telephone pole Christmas trees at River Road Park (also known as the duck pond).  Come and see and donate and get some cookies!

Team Up Thursday

 First, have to say Happy Veteran's Day.  I have been a part of a military family all of my life.

The Hubs and the girls at the school's Veteran's Day ceremony.  The girls really wanted Daddy to come this year and it worked out that not only could he make it but he made it in uniform.  

This week at Team Up Thursday, Megan and I chose the theme "paper".  I know any of us could've have taken that photo lately, maybe not as well, but we are all familiar with the image.  Except mine are usually found on the floor.  Love how that background blacked out make the wrapper pop.  And boy do I love Butterfingers.  Thank goodness for Team Up because without it these days my blog would be lonely.  I know this is a busy time of year for everyone.  So glad for those of you who are still in the game and we'll surely wait for those of you who are putting Team Up on the back burner.

For Team Up Thursday this week, Megan and I chose "orange" as our theme.  It seems that both of us had had enough of Halloween orange.  Love how Megan's photo is so light hearted and fun.  Not to mention, cute bag, Megan!  The orange bag with the Fall leaves, very editorial.  I found my bottle at World Market.  I really love the look of the vintage label.  Hope your joining us, check out our Flickr group, too.  Many people post there and don't have blogs.
