Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow

 We went to the salon yesterday for some hair cuts.  Natalya just got a trim because she still wants long hair.  But Vienne was ready for a change.  Mostly because she hates when I have to comb her hair.  It was long and curly and when they swam it got so tangled. 

There's the last strand of long hair.  The stylist gave me a curl to take home.  Sniff.  But V was ready.

It's short and sassy and she wants it even shorter now!  I have to say that I miss the curls.  She got her hair cut last year about this same time and the curls did come back.  So,  hopefully they are not gone forever.  And this was just out of the pool so it might even be lower maintenance.  She does look pretty cute.  Very cute.  OK, I'm biased.

Team Up Thursday

 

Well, looky there, it's Thursday again.  And it's been a whole week since I've posted something.  I never like when that happens but boy has Summer been nothing but go.  You know, I threaten the girls with camps when the are annoying but secretly I'd rather have them at home because it seriously seems like I'm never at home.  I just want to veg.  Can I get an amen?  Oh, and to make the Summer rush seem worse, I got a back to school uniform catalog in the mail this week.  Yep, I did.  Anyone by their school supplies yet cuz now I'm feeling a little behind.  

Our theme for Theme Thursday this week was "after dark".  I had to laugh at Megan's cuz there was movie in the park here that we missed but it was also Back to the Future.  It must me making a come back.  And this is V taking a night stroll on the beach collecting sand dollars.  

Natalya has riding this morning this morning, a sitter is coming in an hour cuz I have a tennis match, then V meets me so we can take her to dance camp.  Maybe we'll slow down next week.  Wait, gotta check my calendar...

Team Up Thursday

 

Nothing like adding to the end of school chaos like taking a last minute trip.  I've also been planning V's birthday party.  We always look forward to Summer vacation but we've yet to put on our calendar time for slow down.  Not that I'm complaining and I really don't think the girls are bothered by it all.  But chaos it is sometimes.  Hey, it's even our theme for Team Up Thursday this week.  Very appropriate.  Megan on the left and me on the right.

Hardwood Snore

Vienne had a bit of a tummy ache today.  She woke up at about 6:00 this morning which is very unusual.  Come 1:00 she decided to lay on the floor.  Next thing I know she is out.  

Not sure what led her to the cold, hard wood floor (again, btw), but whatever.  

We just back back from a nice beach trip so I'll post pics here soon.  Have a great weekend.

She had her rehearsal recital on Wednesday and they won't let us take photos tonight of her real recital.  

 The little ones are the cutest ones to watch.  V did awesome, smiled almost the whole time.  At first she wasn't keen on the idea of wearing makeup but once she had it all on she loved it.  And now that she's reached this milestone in most little girls' lives, she's ready to move on.  "I don't wanna dance anymore."  OK then.
