There is absolutely a direct relationship between how busy I get and how much I blog. I am busy. Not too busy, however, to put up our Christmas trees.

Trick or Treat

Smell my feet. Why do stinky feet always make kids laugh? We had a fun Halloween like always. I really don't think that an event involving candy could possibly go wrong anyway. I've mentioned before that we live on acreage. Trick or treating in our neighborhood would involve a car or lots of walking. So our neighborhood has Trunk or Treating. We head to our clubhouse and park in the lot. Those that are way cool decorate their car trunks and we walk from trunk to trunk. Well, it works. The kids had fun and got way too much candy. We usually go to the grands' house where we do the traditional house to house ring the door bell routine. We'll have to see what the girls choose to do next year.

Ever since Natalya was born over 8 years ago, we've almost always dressed as a family for Halloween. Vienne chose to be Dorothy sometime last year so that meant we had to follow suit. Natalya sorta got stuck with being the Lion.

She was a real good sport but has requested that she be allowed to chose her own costume next year. She says she doesn't even want to do what the rest of us do. I'd say we had a pretty good run lasting 8 years. Who knows. She may see how much fun we are having and join us anyway.

The family. Daddy was Tin Man and I was Scarecrow. I think we look pretty cute.

And the trunk. That's a tornado in case you can't tell. There be lots of tricks and treats this Monday. Go see.

Well, I'm ready to move on. The Halloween dec will soon be packed away and I'm taking Christmas out. Don't be a hater, I love Christmas decorations and I love seeing them for more than a month.

I have a few friends that I've had a real long time. One of those friends is Heather. We went to college together. She was in my wedding. She actually is the one who introduced me to my husband! So she surely holds a special place in my heart. I can't believe that her children are so adorable! Just kidding, I knew she'd make lovely babies.

I just could not get over her son Baylor's curls. Curls like no boy should ever have. I would have given a foot for curls like this.

Baby girl Landry is the spitting image of Heather. So sweet and just adorable.

It had been really rainy but we put on our boots and played in the mud.

Cutiepie for sure.

Rain Rain Go Away

Some lovely shots of my girl on this once again gloomy, wet, rainy day. Ask and ye shall receive? Really. It was such a dry summer, we begged for rain, water wells were going dry. Hmm, now we are flooded. Oh, well. It's supposed to be nice this Saturday for Halloween so I guess I'll take it for today.

The Pumpkin Patch

The obligatory pumpkin patch trip. We make it every year. We really thought we'd be rained out this year but we were given an absolutely gorgeous day today. So glad we made it.

I don't look forward to the day when Natalya says she's too old for this.

This shot is really sooc, no editing at all. The sky was really that blue.

I just LOVE how Vienne always puts her arm around Natalya when I say, "Snuggle!" LOVE it.

I'm almost afraid to mention it but Vienne did not cry once last week at school. Not once. Knock on wood for me. I will remain cautiously optimistic. Happy Monday, here's to another tear free week.

Road Trippin'

Well, both girls got healthy and just in time for the weekend. Me and my friend Angelia had serious road trip plans to go to Round Top for some junk in our trunk antique crafting fun. We were so serious that this time we brought the Uhaul. And the Hubbies. The Hubs were actually excited to go and I think they had a good time. We brought home some fun stuff and are planning our next trip in the Spring.

There was some mention from the men about masculinity and pulling our carts. So there had to be a picture.

Somehow Missed Wednesday

This whole week has turned into one long day. I guess we've been pretty lucky compared to most, illness everywhere. Our girls only got mild sicknesses this week. Natalya started last weekend with just a fever and nothing else. How am I supposed to treat nothing else? I kept her home from school for one day and she was all good after that. Then Vienne got an ear ache. And nothing else. Again, how am I supposed to treat nothing else? I wish they would just get sick and get it all over with. I know, it really could be worse and we truly don't want worse. Fun things planned for the weekend though so I have my eye on the prize.

Here's another pic of my big girl. When she was home on Monday not really sick I made her work.

I guess I'm off to color some more. Or play hide and seek. Or play Barbie Hawaii. Or puppy at the pet shop. V has a fantastic imagination but staying at home sick is not supposed to be so much fun. No wonder she'd rather stay home. I'm doing it all wrong.
