Miss Lola

You know, I never expect a session to be easy.  I usually expect something to be challenging.  Most of the time it turns out OK though.  But this session was the exception.  Miss Lola.  Remember her face because she may just grace the cover of magazines one day.  She was so natural in front of the camera.

This kiss face was all her.  Would you have guessed that she is four years old?  Cutie cutie.

C Family

A couple of weeks ago I got to photo one of my dear friends from college and her ever so sweet family.  Jennifer was my sorrity little sister and is just the nicest gal ever.  And, I do have to say, that Dustin is one fab Dad.  You should have seen him with the girls during the session.  I know it's hard to get Dads out for family photos but Dustin earned the Medal of Honor for this session.  All smiles the whole time.

Chloe.  Showing a little attitude here.  Not the bad kind cuz she was awesome.

And Quinn.  Huh, just adorable.

And this one cracks me up because the session was already over, hence the lollipops.  But I couldn't resist.  They wouldn't even lick them right away.  Thanks guys!  You are doing a great job with them, they are precious.

M Family

We went out to the river to take pictures of this beautiful family.  Mason goes to school with Vienne.  And adorable Clarissa would just melt your heart.  Keep a look out on Etsy for this mom.  One of these days she'll take our advice and start a shop.  She makes some wondefully cute clothing for her kiddos.  Thanks, Michelle, for letting me spend time with your sweet family.

97 Days 'til Christmas

Like you needed that reminder now.  It's not even Fall yet but somehow 97 days doesn't seem like that far away when you say it out loud.  I've always loved the anticipation of the holidays.  As I've gotten older I've grown to love more the time up until Christmas more than Christmas day.  'Cause once the presents are open and we've eaten our fill, the buzz is over.  The prettiness comes down and we have to wait a whole year again.  But I actually LOVE Halloween.  Not for the candy but more for the dressing up, the decorating, the excitement that the girls get waiting until dark.

If you are thinking about a session, I have some weekeday spots available and 1 Saturday available in Nov.  That's it until after Christmas.  I may do a few December sessions but they will NOT be ready before Christmas.  So email me now.

I've mentioned before that I've been getting most of my clients through referrals.  These next lovelies are friends of my friend Jen.  I actually went to high school with Mom but she and Jen graduated a couple of years ahead of me.  Yvette was home visiting from England and wanted pictures before she went back.  Thank you again, Yvette.  I had so much fun, you can't even imagine.

This is big sister Megan.  She was a dream.  I can't tell you how much fun I had with her because she was workin' it for me.  And don't you love the hat?  I think she and I could have kept going for hours.

This is little sister Emily.  She was typical of most 20 month olds.  I had to follow her around quite a bit.  But she hammed it up a bit, too.

And I think this is one of my faves ever.  Grandma came to help out behind the scenes and didn't want to have her picture taken.  But check her!  Megan helped style her up with her hat.  She's workin' it, too!

And one more because I can't resist a picture of sisters together.

Sugar and Spice

Gratefully, every session that I've had so far has been someone I already know or has been from a referral.  Someone has passed on to someone has passed on to someone else my info.  I really have not thought of doing any advertising at this point because I've been keeping busy without it.  I think in any business or service the best way to let someone know that they do good work is to tell others about it.

Amber and I went to the same college and know each other through mutual friends.  Thanks, Amber for letting me meet your adorable girls.

This is Londyn.  She was not posing.  I had to work for her.  She was not sure about me in the beginning but in the end I proved my worth.

I think one of the reasons I like photographing kids is because I'm so fascinated by the dynamics of siblings.  Alexis and Londyn are about 4 years apart.  Lexie was much more reserved and Londyn is the spitfire.  Much like my girls.

She pretended to be shy but Lexie was working it for the camera, posin' and smilin' like she had done it before.  Enjoy the preview, Amber.
