I Wonder...

I wonder what she's thinking.

I wonder what she'll be.

I wonder what decisions she'll make

And will she always think of me.

Wonder at Stacy's today, it's Theme Thursday.

Vienne had her preschool open house yesterday.  We got to meet her teachers and see her new classroom.  And boy do they really mean business this year.  The room looks so much different then the preschool 3 year old classroom.  Her new room doesn't have carpet, there is a science center, there is so much more on the walls, lot of words, and it was much colder (OK, that might have just been for the heat.)  Her new teacher is new to the school and is as sweet as can be.  And it turns out that she was a ballerina in New York at one time.  Right up my little girl's alley.  I really do wonder all the time what the future holds for this one.  She certainly dances to a different drummer than Natalya.  Will it be harder?  Will she take it life easier?  Hmm... I'm not ready to find out.

Eyes, and a Tongue, and a Backyard

We finally got some landscapers out here to get the girls' playground done.  I really wish it could have been done at the beginning of Summer because they love it!  Before it was hard to get them out here to play.  Now they don't want to go inside.  And I finally feel like the backyard is home.

Natalya's eyes.  And tongue.  This is what she does to sabotage my pictures.  Her way of saying, "If you point that thing at me, this is what you'll get."

The view of the sun setting from the playground.  Yep, home.

Celebrate

IMG_3981%20a%20email.jpg

For about the last two weeks we've been celebrating Vienne's 4th birthday.  She is so excited to add a number on to her age.  I guess so many things come with getting one year older:  more rides to ride, drinking Sprite like Sister, riding her bike faster, watching movies that Momma says are not allowed, getting to stay up later.  None of these things happen right away but the idea of them seem closer to the now four year old.  As I hold on to what I see as my baby, I am so amazed to see her come into four.

Celebrate good times at Stacy's today.

Wildlife

It's been awhile since I've posted about our looney dog.  And since the theme at Stacy's today is Wildlife I thought it was a good time.  Rockey is crazy.  She can't let us swim in peace.  Our neighbors are probably wishing we didn't live next door to them.  She barks and swims and runs around the pool.  She jumps in to get swim toys and carries them to the grass.

A Flower for You

Well it turns out that my computer needs a new hard drive.  Yuck.  If I weren't backing up I'd be crying right now.  Although I still worry that something along the way didn't get backed up and will be lost.  Only time will tell.  The computer is only about 3 years old.  That can't possibly be old in computer years, can it?  I'm not one that needs to be on top of all the latest technological advances so a 3 year old computer is fine with me as long as it's fine. I caved and downloaded Photoshop onto my notebook.  It it protesting the hard work I am putting it through but I have so many pictures waiting for attention.

The theme at Stacy's today is Flower.  Last weekend we found this flower on the side of our house.  The young scientist ran to get the Texas wildflower book and looked it up.  It's a Green Milkweed.  Very lovely wildflower that can be found throughout the country.

I love that she loves to learn.  Something interests her and she wants to know more.  Today is her last day of school.  She is actually disappointed that school is ending.  I'm glad that I don't have to pack school lunches for awhile.
