Baby's Got a Brand New Do
Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 08:45PM I have been wanting this for awhile. The struggle to comb it everyday was a huge one. Knots galore. It would get stuck under her pits. She was always pushing it off her face. But as soon as we got to the salon today, I felt a little sad. Vienne has had her hair cut before. As a matter of fact she was born with a full head of hair so she had many cuts before she turned one (I'll have to find a pic). But it has been awhile. And I LOVE her curls.
She looks adorable. But older. And I'm sad that she looks older because she turns five in a few weeks and I didn't need a tangible reminder. The stylist blew it out straight and I don't see any curls right now. I'm gonna wash her hair tomorrow and hope to God that her curls are still there. Vienne loves it and I guess that's what's important. I guess.

Why is it that cutting their hair makes it more manageable but makes them look so much older?! Agh. She does, but she is so beautiful, that I have to admit it looks really great on her. But yes, a little older. *sigh* And being a Momma to a curly-haired imp, I'm so praying that V.'s curls came back today too.
She is so pretty with her new cut, but yes...she does look older now. I feel for ya, momma. I hope her curls come back with a washing. Anya lost most of hers when I cut it, unfortunately. She still has a few wispy curls at her temples, though.

She's not going to be FIVE surely??? Where does time go? Well she still looks super beautiful and at least the trauma of hair brushing in the morning will be lessened.
She is beautiful! My older daughter had curls growing up and now its all straight.
She is such a pretty girl. I can't believe she is shy of 5.
I can't imagine when she is shy of 15. Gonna have to lock her up. ;)
I wanted to post a follow up about the indoor garden kit. My boys' basil plant is almost big enough to start harvesting for fresh pizza toppings and I'll use it to batch freeze sauce when the tomatoes are ripe. They have had such fun. Thanks again! Come enter my give away! ;)

isnt it strange how 5 can look so old sometimes; i think that about Jackson a lot. great pics!
