Team Up Thursday

Hey, Team Up-ers.  This week, Megan and I chose "hot and cold" for our theme.  It was a little difficult because I really wanted to find something that was less obvious.  What have I learned?  Mostly, to try to think outside the camera box.  Sometimes it doesn't work, but it's still a creative venture.  Wait, there's more!  Go see.

I think my favorite thing about this set is the way the water is implied in the bottom photo, but almost seems reflected in the top photo in the little boys shirt. That's just cool. Pun entirely intended. :)

Carrie and I did "Time" this week.

I still think it's a fun Dip and it's all about the process of thinking of your theme while behind the camera.

I didn't notice the shirt/water connection before! That is pretty awesome. I love toe photos. I have one in the main entrance to our house. And I'm pretty sure I've taken almost the exact same popcicle shot. Kids make for such great subjects, no matter what part of them you're shooting! Love it!

I love the contrast in colors in the two shots. Your shot is cooler and softer and Megan's is bright and vibrant. You just can't beat wrinkly toe shots. Too sweet.

I was trying to think of something less obvious too but some how my coffee and ice can't get anymore obvious!! LOL

I think your combo works great. The light and dark contrast between them both and then both kids who are obviously having a good time. Nice job. :)

I love that you both thought outside the box.....great shots from both, I'm not sure what I would have done for this one!

pruny little toes - love that. :) And I know a little girl who would love that bathtub castle thing I see in the background.

Like you I always try and think of something a little bit different. I mean, why settle for an easy life? :-D I love Kimberly's observation about the shirt and the water. I never would have noticed but when she mentioned it...POW! It's obvious. Nice work on the duel theme. Did you decide who would do which one first?

I always love Thursdays when I get to go and open up the dips that you and Megan do. They always impress me :) I love that you both went with your kids this week to show the theme. If your kids are anything like mine they need a bath after a popsicle too lol :) Kimberly is so insightful b/c I would have never seen that. Take care Melody!

Loving the pruny piggy toes. You just know they belong to a cute little girl having fun in the tubby! I really like how you added a little of the shower curtain in on the side of the shot along with the edge of the tub on the bottom. They both really help frame the shot.
