Bluebonnets- Children's Photography, Boerne, Texas

If you follow any Texan's blog you've probably already seen the bluebonnet pictures.  They are everywhere, the pictures and the bluebonnets.  The bluebonnet is the Texas state flower.  If we get enough rain the previous year, we get bluebonnets in the Spring.  We got tons of rain last year so we are literally covered in wildflowers.  You can drive anywhere and see cars pulled over to take pictures in the bluebonnets.  I have not taken pics of my girls in the bluebonnets in years.  So I guess I was way over due.  If you want these pictures taken, get them soon.  They are everywhere but they won't last much longer.

Team Up Thursday

 

Happy Team Up Thursday!  Hope everyone is still having as much fun as we are.  This week, Megan and I chose the theme "color".  Couldn't have matched up more perfectly, huh? ;)  I had to laugh at the egg that reads, "I'm cool."  I'm positive that Megan decorated that one.  Our house is full of confetti these days and I love it.  And I'm vowing to myself to get N in more pictures.  She is really willing when I ask her.  She just doesn't pop in front of the camera as much as V does.  Isn't she just so adorable in my hat??  Can't wait to see what you and your partner have for this week.  And I hear there are some new partners playing this week!  Go show 'em some love.

Crazy Texas Weather

Well, you certainly know that while living in Texas you do get some crazy weather.  Cold today, hot tamale.  Well, it has been beautiful lately, I can feel Summer coming up quickly.  Then what craziness do we get today?

That would be hail.  Loud, painful, marble-golf ball sized hail.  I'm almost afraid to see what kind of damage the Hubs finds on the roof this evening.  I would not recommend running out into golf size hail.  It hurts.

I saved this bowl of hail in the freezer for the girls.  Now I'm so interested in how hail forms.  I have a little homework for tonight.

On another note, I made an appointment for Vienne to see an allergist on Monday.  Poor sweet baby is just suffering.  We've had to give her breathing treatments every night for the past few days.  I just don't think that's a fun way to live.  I'm really hoping that the allergist will give us some more options.  We can't give her any antihistamines until they see her on Monday, I'm guessing they are hoping to do the dreaded skin test on that day.  This will be an interesting five days.  And a VERY interesting appointment.  Did I ever mention that when V was in the hospital for pneumonia in December that the techs had to have extra help holding her down to get blood drawn?  Yea, she puts up a good fight when needles are coming her way.

Easter Weekend

It was a great Easter weekend.  We celebrated down at the Guadelupe River with friends, food, and fun.  We leave there every time saying that we need to do that more often.  The kids have the best time ever just running around and playing in the water.

Water is like a magnet for kids.  Shoes come off, pants get rolled up, and eventually everyone is wet.  Awesome.

The Easter celebration is over but that just means that Fiesta is coming!  Wahoo!
