Team Up Thursday

 

Our Team Up Thursday theme this week was "relax".  Megan on the top and me on the bottom.  I really have a hard time relaxing.  I always believe that the best time for me to relax is at the end of the day when I've made it to bed.  I do have to brag that my girls are really easy at bed time so I'm done with them and out of their rooms no later than 8:00.  Then my bed calls pretty loudly.  I think this may be the first week where Megan and I are totally not even related in our "relax" ideas.  But I'm still happy with our diptych.

And a quick shameless plug-  I entered V in a modeling contest yesterday.  Chances are very slim since voting ends in 6 days but if are willing to vote please go here.  While entering her pic I felt kinda Toddlers and Tiaras weird even though I know I'd never be like that.  It's such a touchy industry.  But something possessed me to do it "just this once".  Oh, you can vote everyday.

Team Up Thursday

This week for Team Up Thursday we challenged you to a self portrait.  

  Megan on the left and me on the right.  I hope Megan gives us some info on the levitating thing.  Was it photoshop?  Was she really feeling enlightened?  I'm probably the only one laughing.  This one was surely a challenge for me because I'm very critical of myself.  I took so many shots but I can say that I'm pleased with what I got.  SO excited to see what everyone else comes up with.  SO excited. 

Thought I'd also share a before and after:

Quite a bit of editing including a dirt removal from my wind shield (if I wash my car it will rain again and I don't want anymore rain), increasing shadows for contrast, removing the background and adding the cloud texture layer, and various color adjustments.

Would have been better with a convertible, a scarf, and a wind machine.  Ah, next time.  Hope you're playing today.

Team Up Thursday

 

Megan on the top and me on the bottom.  Our theme for this week's Team Up Thursday is "love".  You're not surprised are you?  We were actually opposites for the first time this week with Megan capturing people and me with objects.  I still think it's a nice match.  But I also think I need me another donut.

Hope you're showing some love and playing again this week.  We've been so impressed with the turnout and with all of the diptychs.  Spread the word and get others to join in the fun.

   Megan on the left and me on the right.  Our theme for this Team Up Thursday was "dark".  But we both somehow incorporated light into our photos.  Cool.  Hope you are playing again this week.  Megan and I were thrilled to see so much participation last week and were even more thrilled to see such awesome diptychs.  If you are new and need a partner, go to Megan's and leave a comment.  She'll hook you up.  And pick up the blog button (thanks, Leah!)  I can't figure out how to get it on here yet.  

Team Up Thursday- A Collaboration

Megan and I decided to try a collaboration and we want everyone to participate with us.  Every Thursday she will host Team Up Thursday.  You and a partner will get together and post diptychs of the pics that you two come up with, like our "shoes from above" idea.  I'm so amazed at how different our two photos look yet they fit together perfectly.  Choose your own partner or go to Megan's and leave a comment and she will get you a partner.  We'll be there every Thursday so come and play.

Answer to a question asked:  As of right now I we decided that the theme is up to you.  We think it's the best way to collaborate with your partner.  We might throw in a theme every now and then.
