Team Up Thursday
Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 05:00AM This week for Team Up Thursday we challenged you to a self portrait.
Megan on the left and me on the right. I hope Megan gives us some info on the levitating thing. Was it photoshop? Was she really feeling enlightened? I'm probably the only one laughing. This one was surely a challenge for me because I'm very critical of myself. I took so many shots but I can say that I'm pleased with what I got. SO excited to see what everyone else comes up with. SO excited.
Thought I'd also share a before and after:
Quite a bit of editing including a dirt removal from my wind shield (if I wash my car it will rain again and I don't want anymore rain), increasing shadows for contrast, removing the background and adding the cloud texture layer, and various color adjustments.
Would have been better with a convertible, a scarf, and a wind machine. Ah, next time. Hope you're playing today.

And just so you know, I was laughing at my computer too! :) It's funny too because not only am I excited to see everyone's shots, but I find myself becoming equally curious about what they'll say. But the most important part--how did you take the photos of you? Just a tripod and remote?
What I love about BOTH your photos is that they seem utterly unaware of the camera. Love them!

I groused about the s/p's (because like you, I'm so critical of myself) but I'm so glad you guys chose this theme. I'm having a blast looking at what everyone came up with. So creative. And I really appreciate that you posted both the before and after. I really did imagine that you found a perfect spot/angle/sky for your shot. ;)

I love how you are doing something completely natural and we get to look at it from a spectators point of view. I agree with Stephanie how you make Motherhood look so hip and sassy! Excellent PS work. Way to go on bringing out the contrast inside the car. It really makes the shot POP!
