Vienne has decided that she wants to play soccer this season. I really tried to dissuade her because Natalya is playing softball and that means we'll be a family divided on Saturday. But I realized that every kid has to have their turn at soccer and maybe she'll love it. She's had so many seasons at the sideline watching Natalya play. I guess it's her turn now. They had their first practice last night and she did very well considering she's the youngest on her team of only 6 girls. The oldest is 8. Apparently the league didn't have enough 7/8 year olds to make teams so they've stuffed them all together. I actually think you learn more being around experienced players so hopefully it will help her. Or send her frustrated and crying to me in the middle of a game. I'm preparing myself for the latter.

I meant to get back with you on the comment you made about V wanting to take violin lessons - I think it is great - she's not too young and if you start with a Suzuki program, they really emphasize the young student. Good luck with the soccer and potentially with the violin!
even if she ends up hating the game at least she will look awesome on the field!
she is so doggone cute! Vienne and Nadia are cut from the same cloth in some regards...she said the other day that she'd like to play soccer, and when I asked why, she said, "because the clothes look cool!" Hopefully V will love it for more than the uniform. ;)
