I Love...

...Pure child's play.

It has been raining cows and horses here (that's what the girls call it when it's more than cats and dogs.)  Non stop for days.  Hopefully we'll be seeing the light today.  Yesterday as we were pulling into the driveway the girls saw all of the puddles (more like lakes) in our yard and wanted to play.  So they put their boots on on went a splashin'.

I also love when they play together.  Being 3 1/2 years apart, I worry that their interests are just to diverse.  But sometimes they manage to find something they both like.

I love how kids can find the joy in everything. When did we lose that? How do we get it back? I hope you put your boots on splashed with them :-)

I love "cows and horses!" And photos of rainboots get me every time. Our rain just started today so we happily pulled out our wellies. Now if it would let up so I could take my camera out and actually get some shots.

I'm glad you went out and splashed around, too!

splashing around in the rain really is the most carefree and classic of child's play, isn't it?! wonderful - especially the way V is clutching N.

How cute! I love reading about your journeys a little further along the parenting line. With my tykes at nearly 3 and 18 months we keep finding every new stage to be our favorite, and watching them really play together is truly amazing.

If the closeness of the bond between your girls is evident through still images, I'm sure they'll have oodles of memories (one of their favorites being the day Mom tromped through the puddles right along with them, I'm sure!).

What fun! Mine have been wanting to do that too! Although they like it better when it's spring or summer and a tad warmer!

Love the pops of color in these. And I love even more that you let the kids out to play in the rain. :)

So cute! Love that they have fun playing together! I always dream of rain puddle pics with my boys, but it is a bit unrealistic at this stage - playing in the street with a 20 month old and 3 yr old - not really a good idea! Soon...(and faster than I want it to be!)

I know rainy days are supposed to be dreary -- but these pictures are anything but. They are delightful.... they'll be friends for life.

Love that last shot - wonderful childhood moment captured. You needed the rain, right? Well, at least that part is good! :)
