Fiesta!

It's Fiesta time here in San Antonio.  So yesterday we took the girls downtown for our annual Fiesta fun.  We have been going to the Southwest School of Art and Craft Fiesta Arts Fair for several years now.   They have a wonderful children's section in the back with lots of crafts.  It's been a great way for us to enjoy Fiesta with the HipChicks.

All the more festive if we dress the part.

Vienne's lunch of choice- a fruit cup.

Natalya took every craft very seriously.  Vienne finished her craft within about 10 minutes while Natalya took at least 20 minutes.  This is where they made glass mosaic suncatchers.  They also did metal embossing, clay scupting, glass print making.  Wow, all sounds kinda complex, doesn't it?  You have all this week to get downtown and enjoy the fun.

Just a reminder that tomorrow is Earth Day.  What will you do to celebrate?  Maybe you'll go for a walk and pick up trash.  Or maybe you'll plant a flower and talk about conserving natural resources like water.  Or maybe you'll go out and buy a reusable water bottle.  Or maybe you'll go out and play and enjoy our beautiful Earth.  Help our children do our part.

I'm super jealous. I love the pics of the girls in their fiesta wear and the pics of the place bring back good memories of when James and I got married there! I miss Fiesta!

The girls look adorable dressed for the part. Great shots of them! That looks so fun to do, too.

Thanks for the reminder of Earth day, too. I was hoping to maybe go for a walk and pick up trash along the way. I was really surprised at the litter along one stretch of our walk.

Beautiful photos! We're from San Antonio, too. Moved to MI 4 years ago. Miss Fiesta and the rodeo and all of the neat festivals!

These are great shots! I hate that I'm not there to celebrate Fiesta in San Antonio! I'm ready to go back and spend a little more time there. Maybe you can write me a visitor's guide! HA! You're girls are beautiful!

That's wonderful that you partake in such a beautiful fiesta every year. I plan to do the same with my young daughter, even if it means we have our own fiesta at our casa!

What a great day !! Looks like so much fun. My kids would love the crafts too ! Although I think, like yours, one would be super quick and the other would take (his) time !! Love the outfits ! And that second photo ... in front of the wall is wonderful ! But the first one, with the gate, is my favorite !!!
