How to Stop a Child from Growing

If anyone knows, please forward that information to me.  I'd like to know.  I took these pictures of Natalya for her 7th birthday party invitations.  7th.  I can't believe my baby is almost 7.  Greg thinks she looks older than 7 in these pictures.  Please, don't agree with him.  My heart would break.  And, yes, she has been wearing two watches lately.  She has had one for a long time but got a new one for Christmas.  I guess two is better than one.

This is the picture I chose for the invitation.  She's rockin' and she's turnin' 7 with a Hanna Montana party.

But I still love this one so it will be My Best Shot for today.  Go see who else is rockin' at Tracey's today.

absolutely wonderful. the pictures themselves and the outfit and the look on her face!!! when you get the right tip for stopping time, let me know, okay? then again, i'd like to move past the mid-night waking stage and *then* i can stop time.

Maybe, you can stop watering them.... But, I don't know for sure. Let me know as soon as you find out.

So cute! And what a great idea to use a picture like that for a birthday invitation!

I don't know how to make her stop growing, but I'll be on the lookout for an answer!

I'm sorry... she looks older than 7. :( She is SOOO cute, however. I love the skirt!!! What a rockin' party she will have in an outfit like that!

mine are 7 & 4 and i keep telling them that they have celebrated their last bdays. no more; just freezing as is. they aren't buying it, tho. btw: from one mom of a seven year old to another: she doesn't look a day over six :).

So gorgeous! Love that second photo, so beautiful. We're freezing them the only way we know how in these photos.

She is adorable! I don't think she looks seven...not a day over. :) I wish I knew how to stop time, too. They grow so quickly and the time goes so fast. I want them to stay little a bit longer.

I love that picture! It makes me so happy!

Now you know you are a "hip momma" when you have your baby a Hannah Montana b-day party!! You rock...and your baby girl (yes you can still call her that) is gorgeous.
PS...Great shots, momma photographer!

OMG! Those are awesome pictures! I love them - she is SO full of life and happiness it's just beaming out of her - you must be a stellar mother!

Sad news though...she's gonna grow up way too fast. My daughter just had her 13th birthday party on Saturday and I am stunned to realize that I now have a teenager. wow. Before you know it, you'll be there too...enjoy every moment! She looks like she is!!!

Great skirt! I'll bet her party will be a blast! I know what you mean, sometimes you look at them and it's seems they grew overnight!

Those are fantastic! Wow!

Very cool shots.. love them!

January 14, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterHazed

Yea, the second one is precious. So full of life! And she definitely looks 7 in that one! The first one is a bit more sophisticated but the teeth are the give away :-D Great dress too. I would have killed for a dress like that at her age. Come to think of it, I'd kill for one like that NOW!!! hahahah

oh, mel...she is so freakin' gorgeous! and a great idea for the invites. i can't believe she is only 7...sorry, i know the heartbreak, every time i look at E. and she looks like she is 4 going on 14! but, yeah, they definitely grow up far too quickly.

did you make the skirt? i LOVE it!!

January 14, 2008 | Unregistered Commentercarrie

Seven - wow - we are slowly approaching six and it's pretty scary. Love the photos, love the dress, love the guitar rocker pose - they are awesome - hope she has a lovely party!

I'm not agreeing, I'm not agreeing with your husband. I'm NOT agreeing with your husband. Because if I agree, that means that time will march on with or without my approval. I posed the exact same question on my post today. She is beautiful and I know she'll totally rock at her Hannah Montana party.

January 14, 2008 | Unregistered Commenternatalie

Oh Melody.............. She is a heartbreaker! Watch out Hannah Montah. I would say you are doing all you can to slow down the clock & that is capturing all life's BIG moments.... ONE DAY AT A TIME!!! Pat yourself on the back, she is just GORGEOUS!!!!
