So Close We Could Smell It
Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 06:00AM The rain. We've been in need of it for some time now. Yesterday evening we got 16 minutes worth. Of course the Hubs will still complain that it wasn't enough. But I say take what we can get. It was nice.
The girls ran into it.
And the snails ran from it.
These things really gross me out. But the girls found them on the porch and played with them. I'm actually surprised that they could even see them. They were smaller than dimes. But, eewww.

Beautiful! The last shot of the snail is too cool! Enjoy the rain when it comes - here in MI we're finally exiting a good 4-5 days of dreary drizzle!
My mom told me it was raining there yesterday - isn't it SOOO nice to have that rain with the heat? We've had a few days of it up here and I wish we had more! The first picture tells the story perfectly...
Love all of these shots! Sorry to hear rain has been scarce for you. We haven't had a ton this summer either. The clouds always look like rain and then they just pass us by...very frustrating. It's been a gloomy summer so far here.
we never get rain in the summer - so a rain shower - even a short one - would be most welcome here! the snails...would not be. i don't mind them - but they destroy my plants!
We rarrly get Summer rain but we've been getting plenty this winter thank goodness. I love that first shot. The delight on her face is so infectious.

Great macros of the snails. I love the DOF....but the first shot takes the cake!
