Happy Memorial Day AND a Free Printable
Today we are celebrating that we have our soldier Daddy home and remembering that many are not.
The girl scouts visited the cemetery today to put flags on the graves of the veterans. They (mostly Vienne) had lots of questions about how the people died and why the graves looked like they do. I think they learned a lot about respect in just the few hours that we were there.
I don't know about how fast your head is spinning right now but the end of the school year always does it to me. (Team Up Thursday is taking a hiatus until the end of Summer, btw. I was really slacking on poor Megan.) I am looking forward to the break but all of the camps that the girls are interested in are within the first few weeks right after school ends. They will not have even gotten bored yet. Oh well.
I know most of you are also thinking of teacher gifts. I'm constantly struggling with what to get our teachers that is original (how many bottles of smelly bath wash can they possibly smile through?) So if you have a unique idea, post them here. They will even be appreciated for next year. Part of our little gift bag to the teachers will include a bag of cookies with this cute little tag attached:
You could definitely make it look cuter with some ribbon and pretty paper. But here's the download for ya. Let me know if you take, would love to know how you use it. And please credit back to my blog, I'd appreciate it.
Enjoy!

It's probably too late but edible and useable items are definitely best (spoken as a teacher). I mean, there are only so many really cheap photo frames one teacher can use :-D This is a great idea.
This is a great idea! I still need to get something for the kids' teachers. I have a book for A's kindergarten teacher (my alphabet book: http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/invited/1512944/6ac4aba3de9d38ef21c9b50c356085ec) , but need something for the rest. I originally found the idea on pinterest and eventually made my way here. I will be using this tag for my kid's teachers as an end-of-year thank you. I will be attaching the saying to a jar with homemade cookies in them. Thanks for the idea!

Im using this idea today thanks a bunch:)
using for last day of school. Thanks!
Thanks for sharing this! I am going to use it on little packages of cookies my son and I are making for his teachers. :) Blessings!
I am a teacher, and love this idea. But if you are wanting another suggestion for a great teacher gift that we can't ask for, it's this: a gift certificate to the local liquor/wine store. We are held to a higher moral standard, and are not allowed to tell parents how we wind down in the evenings. Not all children are easy, some are downright difficult. We try to be the saints that you think we are (thank you!) but to tell you the truth, many of us enjoy a nice glass of wine occasionally, though we really can't afford to. Parents are not allowed to buy us wine, but gift cards are a wonderful (and always appreciated) thing. But if you don't approve of alcohol, your cookies look wonderful!
:-)
I'm responsible for making 15 end of year gifts for teachers and office staff. Making homemade cookies and adding your note.
Thanks for the free printable.
How did you enlarge the cookie printable so it's big enough?
