Team Up Thursday

This week at Team Up Thursday, Megan and I chose "work" for our theme.  I love that it's our kids working and not us.  This is the first year for homework for Vienne and thank goodess it's not too much yet because the grumgling can be just mind numbing.  Sheesh.  I'm not looking forward to when it's algebra homework.  Wait, that would be grumbling from her, not me.  Just to be clear.  The grumbling during algebra might be from me.

Megan and I are hoping that you are preparing to join us for another group challenge.  This one is inspired by the artist Jan Von Holleben and his series of photos titled "Dreams of Flying".  We just want one photo created by you and it's due on Sept. 23.  There is also a Flickr pool created for photos inspired by this set so go check it out if you need some more inspiration.

On an unrelated note, we are knee deep in rain and floods down here.  Hurricane Hermine has presented a wrath pretty fierce.  Hopefully the worst has come and gone.  And for those of you who beg for rain, I hope you are happy now.  We don't need rain for another year.

Love the idea of Homework! I love it too that both of your photos are of your kids working! I am looking forward to the dreams of flying theme. I have been trying to come up with a good idea, it should be really fun! I hope you are "weathering the storm" o.k.. We are in West Texas, so we really only received about and inch over two days! Send more our way, this farming community will take all they can get!
Happy Thursday!

I love the perspective of your shot. She definitely looks like she is working hard.

I hear ya on the homework grumblings! It kills me. I like how I can visualize the concentration on her face without even seeing her face! Amy and I are sticking with your themes, so 'work' it was. BTW, I want to add to the flickr pool, but am having trouble. I'll keep trying.

that is such a classic image! I love the little skilly bandz too - such a kid of this generation!

We got some pretty major rain up here, but nothing like you got! A friend near Waco sent me some pics, and WOW, that's some serious flooding!

Praying for your area to dry out soon.

What a great shot you took. I love where you were standing. The silly bands have me laughing. When we look back on 2010 it will be the year of the crazy rubber band bracelets. I had a ton of jelly bracelets so who am I to laugh :) I was at Megan's early this morning and her shot made me laugh b/c I can almost hear the grumbling through the computer screen. Now it is the last image and it made me laugh again :) Great week ladies!

YEAH for Homework! I'll check with my partner...but I'm excited by it.
As for YOUR work this week...I love that you both shot your kids working, too. And I love the dreamy feel to your homework shot.
