May
Wow, where has the school year gone?? I organize all of my photos based on the month and I was so shocked when I realized that I had to start a folder for MAY! I have to say though that I'm looking forward to Summer break.
Yesterday was awesome. The weather was great- no humidity, low wind, the temp was about 70 degrees. The Hubs bought kayaks about a month ago and can't get them out enough. We are so lucky to have a great place to take them to just down the road in our neighborhood.
Natalya paddling like a pro.
Vienne was happy letting Daddy do all the work.
A side story from our morning, V is just hilarious lately. I really do have to get journal and write down what she says. Of course, she'd be the one to have to pee while we're out here. We finally convince her that it's OK to pee by the tree. Natalya doesn't realize what's going on because she off exploring on her own. When N finally realizes that something is going on she asks what's up. V looks at her says, "Don't ask, don't tell." OK, it was funny to me.
And little ol' me. You can't see the fear in my eyes because I have sunglasses on but I was a nervous wreck. Seriously, look how still the water is. Completely irrational. I know, it'll be better next time. Should be better. I don't have a brave bone in my body. BTW, the fear of open water or rivers is potamophobia. I don't really have that kind of fear but I'm not a strong swimmer so I don't do well in boats.
V is our bug catcher. She can catch just about anything. This will be My Best Shot for today. Enjoy May cuz it'll be outta here before you know it.

Looks like a great time and that water looks nice and shallow:) I know it's hard not to be scared!
I'm feeling the same way - May already?! No way!! That's awesome that you guys have that place close by and are able to enjoy a day on the river without having to pack up.
Love the photos! Looks like y'all had fun.
Thanks for the phobia list. Some of them are really interesting. One caught my eye. It was fear of writing or handwriting. Interesting. I wonder if there is a phobia name for what I fear. Whenever the washing machine goes off balance and starts acting all crazy, I can't go near it in fear of the hoses coming undone and getting me. I can only relate this fear to when I was little and my dad was working on a washing machine. I seen the back of it and the hoses and I guess freaked. Strange phobia to have.
I can't believe May is here already too. My little girl will be starting pre-school this coming fall. This will be the first summer where something will come to an end and something new to start. She can't wait though.
