On the Sixteenth Day of December- Team Up Thursday

This week at Team Up Thursday, Megan and I chose to go with the contest theme of "December". Megan is on top and I am on the bottom. If you have a December themed diptych it's not too late to enter our contest. You can 'til the end of today. Just add your dip to the Flickr pool and tag it "Team-Up Contest". Megan will post all of the entries on her blog tomorrow for you to see. A little prize is involved so you'll want to play along.
The girls have their school Christmas parties today. They are both at the same time so I'll be bouncing back and forth. Friday is a half day for them. Does anyone else sometimes think they'll just keep the kids home on half days? It seems like so much work to do just to get them to school for half a day. But they're making the day so much fun with the jammies at school and the reading of The Polar Express and the drinking of the hot cocoa. I don't think even Vienne would want to miss school with all that going on. I guess I should relish the few hours left of my sanity. Until January. Man, does January seem so far away now.

I love the softness of your photo and the vibrance of Megan's photo. They go so nice together. I can't believe it is already almost Christmas break. Yikes.
Such different perspectives on December. That's what I love most about Team Up :)
I love your shot Melody. So different from Megan this week. I love everything about your dip this week. Your creativity to take that shot of the rafters - I would never think to do that. Megan's crop is so perfect! I wanted to take a minute to thank you for the comment that you left on my blog last week (I can't reply to your posts). I find that there are a lot of days I feel so sad and then there are days that I am good. When I start feeling sad I have been thinking about what you said. Another thank you for saying that my tree is nice. I am sure a debbie downer lately huh? Piper is doing the same thing as V on Friday but we have a full day. Happy Holidays Melody!
yes. yes, it seems so very far away. i'm going to be bouncing back and forth tomorrow b/w two parties too...and then they are home for 2 weeks. 2 WEEKS!
i'm loving your shot this week though!
The red of the poinsettia and the angles in the rafters....a thought provoking dip ladies. As for school parties, gotta love em. Even the teenagers want to do something special on the last day of the year. Unfortunately it usually involves making a mess that we teachers have to clean up :-) I am so looking forward to being back with primary kids next year....<3
