On the Thirteenth Day of December

Last Friday, we took the girls to Fredericksburg to go ice skating.  They have this cute outdoor ice skating rink.  Both of the girls did great but ended up so wet by the end (they were in dire need of a zamboni).

In the same square, they have this wooden tower thing that is wind powered.  The wind spins the propeller things and the wood figures turn.  So very cute, like an oversized toy.  Oh, and that really is the moon.  Cool, huh? :)

OOOOO! I have to go see it now. Growing up, we had one of those. It was not as big, but one my mom would set out on the coffee table that was powered by the hat of the candles. Awwww, thanks for the childhood memory!

I love outdoor iceskating. We used to do that in the UK. Look at V there. She has lost any semblence of toddlerism. She is quite the young lady now. That wind powered thing is amazing.
