Small Town Fun
Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 12:19PM This weekend is the Boerne Berges Fest. It's always on Father's Day weekend. So if you are in the neighborhood of small town Boerne come for a visit. It's very cheesy with all the glory of a small town fair including sausage on a stick, lederhosen, beer, a parade and dachsund races (come on now, doesn't every small town have an annual dachsund race?) The girls love it.

Were you at the Boerne festival this weekend. We were passing through on Friday morning/early afternoon. Boerne is my new favorite place. It was so very cute: the shopping, the town square, the restaurants. Even my husband agreed! We were disappointed we couldn't hang out thru the evening, to get a real 'feel' for the festival (but we had to get home to Cypress). Oh well, we have something to look forward to next time.

Having discovered you (via Shutter Sisters) I can say that you would be ONE very good reason to miss our land in Boerne (which we recently sold). Poo! Photography and horseback riding, two common threads (except that I have stinky boys!) :)

I LOVE lederhosen! They are hilarious. And dachshund races????? I have never heard of that before!!!! We do have pig racing here.....hope you had a great time. Loved the bird shots by the way.
